About Bam
John (Bam) Ransom is a freelance political, financial and sports writer.
Bam's work has appeared in The Street.com, NewsMax, the LA Business Journal, Registered Rep Magazine (the largest trade magazine for stock brokers), Naval Intelligence Professionals Quarterly, American Conservative Union, TickerTape Mag, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, BuilderNews Magazine, USA Hockey, Gridiron Magazine and other publications, both print and online.
Previously he was a contributing editor for public markets for Nature Biotechnology, the premiere biotech monthly.
In 2006, Bam wrote about a quarter of the “Vault Guide to Private Banking” careers and is currently under contract to produce a specialty history of Castle Rock, Colorado.
Additionally, he hosted John Ransom's Market Pre-Game, a two hour, live, daily drive-time radio show aired in Palm Beach County, FL featuring hard news and analysis of the stock market as well as interviews of top executives of publicly traded companies.
Prior opening Ransom Creative, Bam worked extensively in financial markets and venture capital with several large NYSE member and regional investment firms. He continues today to provide consulting services to select political and corporate clients.
He was a founder and is on the board of advisors for Slipglass, Inc., a defense/intelligence contractor specializing in information security. He is also an associate member of the Naval Intelligence Professionals.
Bam studied Russian Language and Literature at the University of Maryland and Intelligence Operations at the American Military University with a specialization in Low Intensity Warfare.
Currently he's a Masters in Fine Arts candidate (Creative Non Fiction) at Spalding University, a small Catholic-oriented university and runs his writing practice out of Lone Tree, Colorado and Washington, DC. |
